Sponsorship is vital for us if we are to be able to offer good prizes and present an enjoyable weeks golf for our members and guests.

We also want to thank all our members who supported the week in such large numbers and of course our visitors too (530 visitors during the week!) We received many compliments for all aspects of our club from the course to the catering and to the friendly atmosphere in Charlesland. We‚d like to thank both the men‚s and ladies committees for their hard work and unselfish time to make it all happen; Gerry O‚Brien and all the staff in the office and the girls in the shop; all the catering team and of course Paul and all the green keeping staff who got the course in tip top shape for the week. 

In that regard could we ask everyone to redouble their efforts to take care of the course during the rest of the playing season? A lot of hard work has gone into getting it into shape this year and it‚s all our responsibilities to fill in divots using the sand bags, fix pitch marks and finally you will have noticed that a lot of work has gone into re-sanding the bunkers and as the staff can only devote a certain amount of time to raking bunkers please take a little more time to properly rake bunkers after you and leave them in a condition you would like to find them.
