Golf is a mixture of fun, friendship and competition. Since I joined Charlesland when it was founded I have enjoyed all of these and more. I joined as a novice golfer and was made welcome by low, high and mid handicappers alike. This is typical of the spirit of Charlesland, a positive acceptance and welcome for all who cross our threshold and enter the Club.

Charlesland is a great golf course with beautiful vistas, challenging holes, great practice facilities and even hotel accommodation for those who wish to stay and enjoy the golf. We have a signature 13th hole with a view of the sea and the coastline from a tee which towers over the course, and a tremendous finishing hole of almost 600 yards double dog-leg with water at the green.

It is indeed a privilege to be captain of such a Club and course and I look forward to adding something to a Club that has given me so much over the years.

Charlesland Golf Course opened in 1992 and I had the good fortune to join with my husband in that year. I have since been joined by my daughter and son as junior members.

The Club is a vibrant one with friendly, social and competitive members in which both members and visitors alike are assured of a warm welcome and a wonderful days golf on a very fine course.

I have had many roles in the Club over the years but am truly honoured to be Captain this year and am fortunate to count many members as true friends.

Come and enjoy the Charlesland  experience
